Ferretti Yachts 940 Launches with a Blend of Elegance and Innovation

The highly anticipated Ferretti Yachts 940 made its debut on January 15, 2025, with the first unit launched at the renowned Ferretti Yachts Cattolica shipyard. The yacht will stay in Italian waters, emphasizing the importance of the domestic market for Ferretti Group.

The Ferretti Yachts 940 is a true ‘seagoing home’, turning every journey into an unforgettable experience. Combining spaciousness with sophisticated design, this new model offers the perfect setting for enjoying the sea and creating lasting memories with friends and family.

At nearly 29 meters (95 feet) in length and with a maximum beam of 6.78 meters (22 feet 3 inches), the Ferretti Yachts 940 is the first widebody yacht in the range. It features a five-cabin layout, with the luxurious owner’s suite positioned on the main deck. The yacht boasts remarkable exterior spaces and panoramic, floor-to-ceiling glazing, offering an unrivaled view of the sea.

Developed through a collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the 940’s exterior styling is by Filippo Salvetti, while the interior design is crafted by Ideaeitalia.

On the main deck, the cockpit of the first unit is furnished with freestanding furniture, allowing for versatile use. A glass parapet, similar to the one on the Ferretti Yachts 1000, connects the cockpit to the stern platform, creating an ideal space for enjoying time with loved ones.

The salon, spanning almost 30 square meters, is accessed through large sliding glass doors. On this unit, the interior is styled in Ferretti Yachts’ Classic mood, featuring warm, earthy tones that create an inviting, uncluttered environment. The salon is furnished with a spacious L-shaped sofa, a sliding TV unit, and a centrally located dining table seating eight. A hallway leading to the galley also provides access to the Raised Pilot House, which features a single-piece windscreen for enhanced visibility.

The main deck is home to the full-beam owner’s suite, which makes the most of the yacht’s widebody hull. The suite is complemented by exquisite Silver Roots marble detailing, used in the desk, the forward wall behind the sofa, and in the bathroom. The full-beam bathroom is positioned at the bow, providing ample space and comfort.

A standout feature of the yacht is the expansive glazing, including floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining area that flood the interior with natural light. A sliding door in this unit provides access to the starboard side walkway.

Forward on the deck, there is a large sunpad, a C-shaped sofa, and a table, while wide walkways provide easy access to the mooring area. The flybridge, generously sized for both comfort and functionality, is the ideal place for al fresco dining while enjoying the breathtaking views.

On the lower deck, the guest area offers three VIP cabins and an additional guest cabin with sliding beds, providing plenty of accommodation options.

Powered by two MAN V12 2000 mhp engines, the first Ferretti Yachts 940 unit reaches a top speed of 25 knots and cruises comfortably at 21 knots (preliminary data).

The launch of the Ferretti Yachts 940 marks an exciting new chapter in luxury yachting, offering the perfect blend of style, space, and performance for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
